Potatoes Broccoflower and Shitake Mushrooms

Today, i didn’t know if i was going to cook. In fact, i was so busy that i didn’t want to cook and munched on 3 bags of snacks before heading out to an evening class. The class was cancelled but i received a session with another teacher as compensation for the lack of notification. I came home Hungry & Eager to cook and eat some Potatoes stir fried with that one organic Broccoflower i had in a bag of organic veggies delivered from Farm Fresh to You several weeks ago.

So i cooked up a batch of Yummy Stuff!

Potatoes & Broccoflower

Ingredients

  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 2 medium spice level red peppers (naturally home grown :D)
  • 2 organic russet potatoes
  • 1 organic Broccoflower (i did a quick internet search to find what this “green cauliflower” was called)
  • 6 shitake mushrooms (because they were going bad … i put a few green molded ones in the compost heap)
  • lots of pepper and some salt

Instructions and notes

  • Potatoes cook well on high heat with lots of oil
  • Broccoflower requires a little “steaming”, what i did was cover the frying pan with a lid for a short while
  • Mushroom can just be sauteed
  • To make sure you don’t burn the garlic & chili peppers, place them in the pan after you are done frying the potatoes. They can be place in there both before and after you toss in the broccoflower and shitake
  • Don’t put lots of pepper if you don’t like pepper
  • This would taste good with CHEESE!!! next time …

I am transitioning into cooking less and doing a lot more other work. I miss good food, but i enjoy getting other stuff done … trade off!!! i want good food though 0_0 I might just make good sized batches of food that will last me :D

Today I also FINALLY gave away the plants i had that were not in adherence to my local HOA code of not having them grow out of my are … vines lol … now someone else can care for and trim them :)
